Sulphites

Sulphites:-  E220 E221 through to E228, also called Sulphur Dioxide.

Statistics show that many young children today suffer from Asthma. In many cases, directly linked to the consumption of foods containing Sulphites. Please note, not every child reacts in the same way. Maybe Doctors could discuss children`s diets with their parents first, before freely prescribing inhalers.

Sulphites are found most commonly in dried fruits, muesli bars, cordials, juices, breakfast cereals and processed meats.

If you are a parent and prepare lunch boxes for school kids, please watch this short clip, thankyou.

Sulphur Dioxide is also present in wine, used as a preservative to enhance shelf life, it also prevents oxidation and discolouration. Every label we checked on bottles of wine read “Contains Sulphites”

Sulphur Dioxide occurs naturally in wine processing but synthetically produced Sulphur Dioxide is added later.

We`re not saying don`t drink wine, just be aware. As far as we know, wine is the only food product on supermarket shelves which does not have to list the ingredients.
